Have You Considered a Central Vacuum?
Posted on August 10, 2011
Making improvements to your house is always something to be desired, but often stylistic renovations can prove cost-prohibitive. But what about making an investment that can save you time and money in the future? A central vacuum system will not only makes your life easier in terms of keeping your abode clean, but it can also greatly improve the resale value of your house if you ever decide to put it back on the market. Instead of the cumbersome process of lugging portable unit around the house, hoping the extension cord will let you suck up dirt in the outermost corners of big rooms, a centralized system all but guarantees no dust mites will go uncollected because they are outside the province of your economic-sucker. Even though this home improvement may prove to be an ambitious project to complete, you’ll be happy you went through the trouble once you no longer have to clean up like it’s still the 20th century.
The problem with the traditional handheld units that you push around is that they are prone to break and usually don’t pick up all the dust and dirt in your carpets. You can spend hundreds, if not thousands, of dollars on a top-of-the-line portable vacuum, but justifying such a large expense can be difficult if your family is on a budget. Besides, how long will the unit really last? And worse yet, what if you aren’t happy with the results that it produces? The alternative, high-tech solution of a central system is definitely worth considering.
